A
spacious elegant room to relax in after a day out exploring the local sights or walking
the fells. There is plenty of room here to have a little corner to yourself or just laze
in front of the fire on a cool autumn evening.
The interesting cornice work in this room was created by Italian plasterers at the
end of the last century (19th).
We
also have another smaller sitting room for guests to use which has books and games in for
the use of guests during their stay. Both rooms have lovely views of our garden and the
surrounding countryside.
There is a conservatory off this room now, affording
even better views of the garden and surrounding area.
