Scythe Festival Free entry Saturday 17th - Sunday 18th July, 2010 Cylinders Estate, Elterwater, South Lakeland Workshops*Sat. 17 July (10am 4.00pm) Family open day and displays; learn basic scything skills; scythe clinic - bring along your old scythes for sharpening; hay rope making, etc. Childrens eco-art workshops, refreshments, country crafts displays.
Lowther Music Festival Kendal Calling A music festival which attracts thousands of visitors and high profile bands is to be held near Penrith this year. The Kendal Calling festival, which was headlined by Welsh rock stars Super Furry Animals last year, has relocated to the Lowther Estate outside Penrith. 30th of July & 1st of August 2010

Cumbria Guitar Show
The Cumbria Guitar Show which has been in existence for 14 years now has become the North of England's premiere event for Guitar Enthusiasts.
With a great line-up of top players on stage and in the informal demo room, a huge array of guitars old and new plus loads of amps effects and related gear to try out, it is a Mecca for guitar enthusiasts.
